[The Doctor appears on everyone's communicator screens. He is sitting in a spinning office chair set up against a wall constructed out of some alien material. He spins around once or twice while he holds the communicator.]

Well, nobody get too excited, but I think I've figured out a way to get us home.

Well, not think; I am certain. Otherwise I wouldn't be telling you. You'd say, 'Oh, is that true? I get to go home and watch West-Enders?' And I'd say, 'No, just a thought.' This time, though, I know it will work. Why am I so sure? Beats the hell out of me, that's why!

Also, I'm going to need a power source roughly equivalent to a sun going supernova for this to work. Oh, and some gum. The sticky kind.

I can tell you right now that it's never going to work. And I really don't think you can find such a power source anyway.

[I've always wanted to talk to The Doctor. Too bad this is the closest I'll ever get.]

I didn't know you were a fan of him.

[Are you kidding? The thread title is the episode in which I got into him! HE! IS! AWESOME!]

Er... what was that?

It's impossible to leave Ink City by force.

Oh, nothing's impossible. I mean, look at you! You're some sort of rock... fish, with a little hat.

I mean, if you start saying things are impossible, folks are going to look at you funny.

I'm made entirely of dirt and I'm four feet tall.

No, really, it's impossible for us to leave on our own. I can't tell you much, but there's a group of people that decide when we stay or leave. That's all I can tell you.

How do you know they haven't decided to let us leave if you aren't willing to try?

Because I doubt they'd just stop instantly.

[It would be a real shame to have Ink City just be abandoned just like that.]

Doesn't matter. I do not like my decisions being made for me.

And I don't like being killed, but that still happened.

I am afraid whatever ridiculous effort you are planning will be not only be for not, but may even cause alarming damage to this world's fragile stability. I would not attempt to push it's weakness, as you will likely only cause more trouble for yourself as well as the rest of us.
